Text Editor Change Guide

With the updated Thinkific text editor, you’ll find most of the functions you’re used to, plus more customization options, and improved stability.
Added Functionality
Overall
The text editor looks very similar with a few new additions:
- Undo & Redo
- Clear Formatting
- Underline
- Text colors can now also be updated with hex values

More image options
Once you’ve added an image, all image options now appear in a menu when the image is clicked. There are a few new options you can access:
- Alignment
- Display inline, or break text
- Add alt text

More table options
Once you’ve added a table, all the table options now appear in a menu when any cell in the table is clicked. There are some new options you can access:
- Splitting and merging cells
- Adding background color
- Adjusting vertical and horizontal alignment
- Table & cell styles

Quote Text
Now: Click the dedicated button
Previously: Via Paragraph settings
Header 5
Now: Use HTML editor, wrap text in <h5></h5>
Previously: Via Paragraph settings
Strikethrough
Now: Use HTML editor, wrap text in <del></del>
Previously: Via Paragraph settings
Text Color
Now: Click the Color icon, then Text, and select your color (Click the Eraser icon to reset)
Previously: Via Font Color button
Text Highlight Color
Now: Click the Color icon, then Background, and select your color (Click the Eraser icon to reset)
Previously: Via Back Color button
Insert Video
Now: Click the Insert Video icon, then either Link, for the direct URL, Code, for the embed code, or from the dropdown from your library
Previously: Via Insert Video or Insert Video from Library button
Size Table
Now: Drag squares for the size of the table
Previously: Manually insert values
All Table Options
Now: Open table options (click any cell in the table to view)
