Course Landing Page Theme Library

Note: This article is for anyone using a site theme with a version 1.9.9 or older. If you're using an older site theme, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to the newest version - Click here to learn more.

Making your course landing page look great is easy with themes! With our theme library, you're able to choose from a selection of ready-made designs that you can instantly apply to your course, no coding required.

The Theme Library

The theme library is your go-to spot to find great looking themes you can apply to your course. The selection will always be growing, so be sure to check back often. You'll find the Theme Library in the Themes section of your dashboard (see the image below). Here you'll see a summary of all the themes available for you, which you can preview or apply to your course.

Viewing a Theme Demo

If you'd like to understand what a specific theme will look like on a real site, we've got you covered. You can click on the "View Demo" button of any theme you see in the library, and you'll be taken to a demo site that already has that theme applied.

Applying A Theme

Once you find a theme you're happy with and would like to use on your course, it's time to apply it. When you do, you'll be asked which courses you'd like to apply the Theme to. Follow the prompts and select the courses you'd like to apply the theme to, and you'll see a confirmation of success once it's complete. At that point, you'll be able to check out your newly installed landing page!

Updating A Theme

As time goes by, there may be updates made to the themes in the library. You'll know when there is a new version available when you see the "Update Available" notification on the theme, and the "Update" button is present. If you'd like to get the latest style and features, feel free to go through the update process, which is very similar to the process you used when you first applied the theme.

NOTE: If you've made modifications to the theme using custom HTML and CSS, updating your theme may overwrite them. If you haven't touched the HTML or CSS, you can update with confidence.

Changing Your Course Landing Page

Finally, if after you've applied a theme to your course you'd like to select a different one that you've already applied, or go back to using the default landing page, you can make the switch in the "Page Theme" section of your "Landing Page" tab of your Course editor.

There, you'll be able to select which landing page you'd like to use from a dropdown list of all the themes that you've applied in the past, or apply a brand new one!
