Previewing Your Course as a Student

At any time during the course creation process, it's easy for you to take a sneak peak at your Thinkific site and courses as your students will see them. Below, we'll show you how!


Previewing Your Thinkific Course Site

If you'd like to check in on how your site is looking, you can do that from anywhere on your admin dashboard by hitting Preview Site in the top right header.


Find the button called preview site


This will take you to your site landing page, which is where your courses and bundles will be listed once published. 


When you're ready to head back to the admin dashboard you can choose to Return to your dashboard or select the Admin link in the top right of your site's header.


Click on Return to your dashboard or Admin to stop previewing the site as a student would


Not seeing your site landing page when previewing your site? You need to have at least one published course before your students see the site landing page. If you only have one published course, traffic is redirected to that course's landing page.


Previewing Your Course Landing Page

As you're working on a new course, you can preview what your landing page will look like by selecting Preview Course in the top right of the course builder menu, selecting Landing Page from the drop down menu that appears.


Select preview course and then landing page.


This landing page can be edited in the Page Builder tab of your course builder.


Previewing the Course Player

Enrolled students (paid customers/members/etc.) will see your course's content in the Course Player. To preview the course in the Course Player, from within the course builder select Preview Course, and then As a Student.


Go to preview course and then select As a Student


This will open up the course player, allowing you to run through your entire course as a student! When you're done previewing, hit Return to your dashboard to return to the admin view.


Select Return to Course Builder when you're done previewing the course player.
